Alora SN Note for iPad

Home Health Software Innovator Alora Healthcare Systems Releases the First Native iPad app for Home Health Visits “Alora SN Note for iPad” Gives Nurses Conducting Home Health Visits Unparalleled Accuracy and Convenience” ATLANTA, Oct. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Atlanta based Home Health Software provider Alora Healthcare Systems  announced the release of the first Apple approved  native iPad app for Home Health visits, “Alora SN Note”, earlier this week during a special preview session for their clients. The company will be debuting the app at the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) Annual Conference in Washington, DC October 31 through November 2, 2013; allowing attendees of the conference to try out the new app on iPads at their Alora display booth. The new app, which is now available to users of Alora’s Home Health Software, can be purchased for download in the Apple App Store following a focused developmental phase and subsequent approval by Apple. “Alora SN Note,” which in essence is a software extension to the cloud-based Alora Home Health Software, allows a home health nurse to enter Skilled Nursing Visit Note and capture signatures, without the requirement of Internet access. Visit Notes completed on the iPad can then be transmitted to the Alora Home Health Software application with a simple touch, whenever Internet access becomes available. Additionally, once a patient signs a visit note, Alora SN Note captures GPS coordinates and offers the ability to view the location on a map. “This is a very exciting time for us and many of our clients who have been wanting to see this type of product available in our industry,” stated Charlie Murff, senior programmer at Alora, who was the project lead in the development of the app and coordinated its launch within Apple’s meticulous approval guidelines. “We tried to cover all of the bases, making sure it was not only functional and easy to use, but also HIPAA compliant and encrypted for security” added Murff. Alora Healthcare Systems CEO Sathish John understands firsthand the level of benefit Alora SN Note provides to Home Health professionals. “For a long time, nurses out in the field were reliant on Internet connectivity to be able to complete their visit notes, and to maintain the accuracy of their data. Because Alora SN Note software is installed locally on the iPad, it is totally independent of reliance on the many different factors that can disrupt Internet connectivity. Additionally, the app is also much faster than software that runs over the Internet as well, and even allows a nurse to be able to use the iPad’s voice dictation feature to verbally fill out many of the clinical data fields that need to be captured during a visit. This means that you can literally just speak the information into the device, making the process even more efficient,” he commented. Along with a video explaining the benefits of ALORA SN NOTE, the company is planning to launch a series of new Home Health Care Software tools in the coming months aimed at simplifying the workload and accuracy of Home Health professionals who rely on their software as a complete Home Health care management solution.
